METABOLIC & DIABEtic Services

Stop Managing Symptoms. Start Changing Your Health.

Most diabetes care focuses on control. We focus on restoring how your body actually functions, not just managing numbers.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM

Metabolic Disease Affects Far More than Blood Sugar

Diabetes and metabolic disease can impact cellular health, nerve function, circulation, and the body's ability to heal. Yet many patients are told to adjust medications and continue monitoring numbers.

While medications play an important role, many people still struggle with low energy, neuropathy, unstable blood sugar, and a growing list of complications.

We believe metabolic care should go deeper than symptom management. Our programs focus on the underlying metabolic and inflammatory processes affecting your health by supporting the body's natural ability to regulate energy, maintain balance, and heal.

PIR (Physiologic Insulin Resensitization)

What is PIR?

PIR stands for Physiologic Insulin Resensitization. It’s a physician-directed treatment protocol where insulin is administered in a way designed to help the body respond more effectively to glucose.

How long does a session take?

Most sessions take about 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your individualized care plan.

How often are treatments?

Many patients begin with weekly treatments, and frequency is adjusted over time based on your care plan and progress. Most patients will complete a series of 12-18 infusions over 3 months.

When will I see results?

Some patients notice improvements within a few weeks, especially in energy and glucose control, though results vary by individual

Can PIR help lower A1C?

Many patients experience improvements in A1C over time, but your provider will track your progress and guide expectations.

Will I still take my medications?

Yes. PIR works alongside your current treatment plan. Any changes to medications are managed by your provider while collaborating with other members of your care team.

CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring)

What is a CGM?

A Continuous Glucose Monitor is a small device that tracks your blood sugar levels throughout the day and night, giving you and your provider real-time insights without the need for finger sticks.

How does CGM help?

It helps identify patterns in your glucose levels, allowing your provider to make more informed decisions about your care...and a break from constant finger sticks.

Do I have to wear it all the time?

Most patients wear it continuously for up to a year, but your provider will guide you based on your specific plan.

Is CGM used with PIR?

Yes, CGM is often used alongside PIR to monitor progress and optimize treatment.

TESTIMONIALS

What Our Patients Are Saying About Us

Absolutely Thrilled

I was thrilled to see my my results due to these treatments. I look forward to seeing more of these positive results via the Innovative Diabetic Center's treatment program. As a former educator, I also enjoyed their teaching methods. They were informal to the point of feeling like conversations. Would I recommend this program? Yes, I can see where this program would benefit you with both your diabetes and your chronic kidney disease. It takes time, but it's time well spent.

Above and Beyond

Every visit, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure my father receives the attention and support he deserves. It’s clear that the entire team truly cares about their patients and takes pride in providing high-quality, comprehensive diabetes care.

I want to specifically recognize Austin Mill and Nicole Taylor, who have both been absolutely fantastic. Their knowledge, patience, and dedication are remarkable, and they’ve made a real difference in my father’s health journey. That said, every staff member at Innovative has contributed to making this experience exceptional.

Staff are Wonderful

I have been doing infusion therapy a couple of weeks. Already my blood sugars have gone down and noticed some weight loss. Staff are wonderful. Explained everything clearly and very attentive. On track to no longer be pre diabetic but normal blood sugars.
